Havens Hospices: Havens Hospices is a Hospice for Adults and Children living with life limited or life threatening illnesses. My role as Schools Youth Team was to educate and fundraiser for Little Havens, where I was responsibly for taking school assembly’s, college graduations, PHSE Lessons, RE lessons and young ambassador projects ensuring that relationships were built with Head Teachers, students and staff. Having met targets I had to ensuring that these were communicated back to the organisation at many levels including trustees. I regally worked and volunteered in the hospice working with the hospice children and parents looking after and participating in their play. Macmillan Cancer Support : My main role when starting Macmillan was dealing with the banking and thanking of all letters and donation to the organisation within the Essex region. Dealing with personal letters and phone calls where people have been diagnosed or lost a loved one with cancer. This soon progressed to greeting people face to face offing a friendly and caring welcome and guiding them with concerns they may have. I also supported Community fundraisers and the fundraising manager arranging and supporting events, including meeting with Princess Anne. Picking up collection tins and cheques were apart of the day to day administration. I was given a task of contacting all funeral directors in Essex to building up a relationship for the charity; I excelled in this by raising our profile and our income. Volunteering was a very important part of the charity, I ensured that all of our volunteers were given the appropriate training and created user guilds for all staff.
