About Leanne Pritchett

I have recently switched career paths in the Special Education field. I was a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). I went back to School in the fall of 2015, and earned my Master's Degree in Special Education. For the past four years, I have been working as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. I am fluent in Braille and with my Speech-Language Pathology background, I am able to plan out and execute individualized lesson plans that meet my student's needs. I am known for giving my students 110% and making lessons meaningful and engaging to them. While working as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, I executed evidence based practices in all of my therapy sessions. I have been fortunate enough to incorporate many of the behavior modification techniques that I learned through being a Special Education Instructional Assistant and Religious School teacher into my speech sessions,(when appropriate). Over the past school year, I have worked with children of all types of disabilities and socio-economic backgrounds. I have over 193 clinical hours and earned a 4.0 GPA at American River College in the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
