Having worked for Terex at their Coalville site for the last 9 years and in other industry leading companies such as EDS it has given me a large in depth knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures and a vast experience of technologies. In the past with EDS I was one of a handful of people that helped with messaging servers, such as exchange, Lotus Notes, responsible for any hardware fixes should a server have gone down. With Terex my horizons broadened to include everything on the site and globally within Terex. This included been on the team for Upgrading users from windows XP to windows 7. Also on the Global Security team discussing the best ways in which to protect and deal with the Company hardware, software and Data. The person responsible for getting the best deal for the New VOiP Phone system and overseeing the installation and go live of the system. As the Local IT person on site I have also gained experience in the administration of the Avaya Aura system from adding people, phones and VM to setting up best practices with regards to Cost of Service on the system, Purchasing of new servers and installation of those servers. Also responsible for any new starters and setting them up with new phones should they require it and either Desktops or laptops. Also been the IT person on site I am responsible for the Network infrastructure and making sure that everything is working correctly and should a network move be needed to accomplish this with the least amount of disruption to the working of the business as possible Also for making sure that the local IT budget is set correctly from year to year with correct expenditure on new items including maintenance costs on hardware and software. Specialties: Microsoft, Linux, exchange, basic SQL, Citrix, Group policies with in AD, and a very good analytical mind for resolving problems on servers. Experience working with NT4 right through to W 2016 servers.
