I specialized in insolvency and reorganization for over 30 years in many of the largest and most complex cases at the time. I served as one of the lead counsel in the Chapter 9 cases of Orange County, California and Jefferson County, Alabama, and represented victims of fraud or corporate malfeasance in the Enron, Washington Mutual and IndyMac estates, among many other matters. My practice was diverse and involved commercial litigation, consumer and criminal matters and bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring in cases across the nation, including California. I served as co-founder and co-managing partner of Klee, Tuchin, Bogdanoff & Stern LLP in Los Angeles from to 2017. Before that I was an associate and then partner and member of the management committee at Stutman, Triester & Glatt PC in Los Angeles. I am a member of the American College of Bankruptcy. Beginning in 2017, I wound down my practice to focus on giving back to the community and charitable endeavors. Among other things, I volunteered at The Legal Aid Foundation, Los Angeles, at the domestic violence clinic (https://lafla.org/stories-events/domestic-violence-awareness-month/), and served as a judge pro tem in the Los Angeles Superior Court. On August 28, 2020, I was appointed by Governor Newsom to serve as a Judge of the Superior Court, County of Los Angeles. I took office on October 1, 2020. I serve in the Probate Department, which hears cases involving wills, trusts, guardianship and conservatorship.
