About Lee Cheney
When I was young, I wanted to be an artist because I really like to draw, paint, and sculpt. In college I began to realize that what I truly love about art and design is the freedom to create original products that can have a positive impact on the live's of the people interacting with my work. Professionally I've found that what makes my career satisfying is ingenuity, determination, and the ability to relate my work to the people around me. These skills are paramount for art and design, but they have also been important for me in every position of I've had to help me excel at the work I produce.Academically, I worked on new technology devices, user-interface design, furniture, packaging, food design, toys, and consumer products. At UIC, I was fortunate enough to work along side professional designers, engineers, and executives at Muve Music, ACCO Products, and RTC.
