About Lee Cornish

I am a full time mum to 5 children ages 27-12. I work at IKEA Southampton in the textiles/bath shop department. I have studied social sciences and am actively researching every break through in youth mental health. I would love to work in youth work providing support and advice to 11-25 year olds. My aim is to specialise in the 16-25's as i believe they are the forgotten.To old for children's services and to young to be taken seriously by adult services.I have already been working with some young people who have needed help in overcoming some issues.I have provided support to a family through some very complex and deeply personal problems. At the moment I proved the support in my own time.I have been a student representative for the awarding body committee for the access course. The role involved voicing any concerns of the students to the committee and being active in assisting in the resolving of the concerns, also helping to make decisions about courses provided.I also have an interest in Interior Design.
