About Lee Diede

I’m an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years in the design, development, and maintenance of diagnostic ultrasound test equipment in ISO 13485 and ISO 17025 regulated medical device environments. I’m also our company’s product expert and the first point of contact for internal teams and external customers when it comes to our test equipment whether it’s troubleshooting, interpreting test results, explaining a design, or helping a customer’s engineering team integrate our systems.My technical background covers PCB design and layout (OrCAD Capture, Cadence Allegro, Altium), analog/digital circuit design, and FPGA/PLD development including writing firmware in Verilog and VHDL for both Intel/Altera Quartus and Xilinx/AMD toolchains. I also design and debug switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), integrate ADC/DAC systems, and tune filters to optimize performance.I’m hands-on with troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, arbitrary waveform generators, and other advanced test equipment, with extensive experience in component qualification, alternate sourcing, and maintaining production continuity.Beyond the bench, I work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D team, maintain QMS documentation, and mentor junior engineers and technicians. I also represent engineering in customer-facing discussions, translating complex technical details into clear, actionable solutions.Whether I’m debugging at the component level, developing firmware for a new FPGA design, or walking a customer through a fix, my focus is the same: reliable products, clear communication, and engineering excellence. I don’t want things to just work I want them to work right.
