About Lee Douma

I craft engaging, insightful, accessible pieces of writing that help my clients accomplish their goals. “Everything matters.” This maxim was at the heart of my AP English classes. My students would hear me say it almost every day. Whatever you learn about anything might at some point help you gain a deeper understanding of something else. A rich web of interdisciplinary knowledge makes you a better writer, reader, spouse, parent, sibling, and citizen. These two words also define my approach to the world. I’m driven by a desire to explore, understand, and enjoy as much of the world as possible and to help others do the same. As an educator, I spent more than two decades selling students on the power of words, stories, and ideas. I adjusted my attention-getters, my explanations, my analogies, and my illustrations to meet the interests of each class and each student. Through carefully crafted discussions and activities, I would usher my students through meaningful engagement with a broad range of literary and informative texts. Now I use words to help businesses and organizations engage effectively and persuasively with customers and clients.
