About Lee Jeffery

I have over 30 years of horticulture and biodiversity experience and have worked in local government for almost 25 years. Following a Diploma in Conservation and Land Management and a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology I continue to improve my personal skills and knowledge wherever possible. I have gained a broad range of skills in the management of natural assets, from practical applications to strategic thinking. With an inclusive and respectful work philosophy I have built trust and positive cross-sector relationships. I am a self-motivated, outcome-driven and organised person with a passion for native vegetation, biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration. Career highlights include-Producing the City of Victor Harbor Biodiversity and Natural Assets Management Plan-Collecting and analysing data of the City of Victor Harbor's biodiversity assets-Managing the City of Victor Harbor's Coastal Adaptation project-Survey and monitoring of Fleurieu Peninsula Swamps (a critically endangered ecological community)-Establishing and monitoring a vertebrate exclosure experiment in Pink Gum/Blue Gum Woodland-Scientific poster presentation at the 2018 Society for Ecological Restoration Australasia Conference in Brisbane-Implementing a wide range of ecological restoration projects on the Fleurieu Peninsula-Producing a digital herbarium of plants with regional conservation significance in the Victor Harbor area-Working and connecting with community groups and professional experts on restoration projects.
