About Lee John

I guess you could say that I lost my amateur status in 1964 when, at the age of 6, I sold my first oil painting. In retrospect, it was a good thing I was still living at home with my parents at the time because I didn't sell another until my second year of college! Speaking of sophomore year, that's when I changed my major from architectural design to mass communications and a semester later to public relations. About the same time, a local radio station that I had done some freelance work for found themselves in need of a news director. I auditioned and, to my surprise, got the job! That's where my classroom education ended and my real education began. Like the craftsmen of old, I acquired skills by doing, all while under the watchful eyes of the many "masters" I've had the honor of working alongside. In the more than 30 years since, I've worked in radio, television, print and most recently, web. And now I'm looking for the next great challenge!
