About Lee Johnson

I am a 41 year old British citizen, with a valid passport, seafarer medical and offshore medical. I also hold a (UK) Master’s Unlimited and DP Unlimited Certificates. During my 22 years at sea I have accrued vast experience on a range of vessels and have sailed as Chief Officer in four companies. I hold many other certificates/qualifications including, but not limited to- OPITO MIST- OPITO BOSIET, including HUET and EBS - Compressed Air EBS- CAA Radio License- GMDSS GOC - HLO + DGA - Ship’s Security Officer- Medical Care Aboard Ship - ECDIS (Generic + type specific)- FRC - STCW10 Refresher Certificates For the last 18 months i have worked as 2/0 and 1/0 on all of the Trinity House fleet of buoy tenders. This varied work includes servicing of navigational aids, light vessels and light houses around the UK, regularly conducting work-boat and helicopter operations. The 2 years prior to this I worked as 2/0 DPO for Helix, on DP2 and DP3 vessels within the UK North Sea Sector. I have accrued a total of 2700 hours DP time upon these vessels. This work has been saturation diving, with a limited time on shallow diving, as well as ROV operations and Well Stimulation operations. These operations were mainly done concurrently. I have worked with Kongsberg SDP 21 + SDP 11BU and Kongsberg KPOS DP 21 + DP 11 BU. Prior to this I was with a specialist cargo company for 17 years, where I rose to the rank of Chief Officer, and worked on INF3 cargo and INF2 Lo-Lo/Ro-Ro vessels. I also did a secondment to Scottish Fisheries Protection during this time, and served on LPG, Product and VLCC tankers during my cadetship. I am available to work immediately, as I have just had redundancy from Helix. I am also willing to consider any work rotation, day rate and work location around the world.
