About Lee Kiedrowski

I am participating in the first cohort of Masters students in the joint M.S. program in International Infectious Disease Management and Biosecurity. This joint program is offered by North Dakota State University (Fargo, ND USA) and Makerere University (Kampala Uganda). I am studying epidemiology, international disease surveillance and prevention, infectious disease pathogenesis and pathobiology. After I graduate in December 2012 I hope to be selected as a Fulbright Scholar to pursue a research project in Uganda from 3-5 months. The next career move is to pursue a Medical Doctorate and specialize in Infectious Diseases. My intrinsic beliefs in human dignity and social justice tied into my diverse international experiences in the laboratory and direct patient care in and outside the hospital has prepared and will propel me to achieve these goals. Culminating in collaboratively improving the not only the health but the quality of life of the less fortunate.
