Works directly with the Quality Control Manager and Quality Engineer to ensure that quality standards are met and enforced throughout a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Collects variable data using 6S methods to ensure that processes are improving performance throughout the plant. Conducts process audits to ensure that quality standards are being adhered to throughout the organization. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
