Lee Maracle Ms. Maracle is the author of a number of critically acclaimed literary works including: Sojourner’s and Sundogs, Ravensong, Bobbi Lee, 3 O'clock press, Daughters Are Forever, Will’s Garden, Bent Box, First Wives Club,Theytus books, I Am Woman”,Raincoast books, My Home As I Remember, Natural Heritage books and Celia's Song, Cormorant Books. maracle has two more books out, Talking to the Diaspora [poetry collection] and Memory Serves [non-fiction]. Ms. Maracle is widely published in anthologies and scholarly journals worldwide,newest is Event Magazine. Newest Anthology, Indigenous Poetics, edited by Neal Mcleod to be launched at Inspire writer's festival. Ms. Maracle is the recipient of the 2014 Premier's award for Excellence in the Arts and was recently honored by the Indigenous Writer's Conference and Ministers for indigenous affairs of Ontario and Canada [June 10]. An award winning author and an award winning instructor & orator. Maracle is currently an instructor in the Aboriginal Studies Program teaching the Oral Tradition and Traditional Teacher for First Nation’s House In 2009, Maracle received an Honorary Doctor of Letters and received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. Maracle has served as Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, and the University of Western Washington. Maracle is also the recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal and has been made a fellow at Massey College, University of Toronto.
