About Lee Parrish

I got my first welder at twelve years old. I used it to make odds and ends. I went to work part time at Enoree Mill as soon as I turned sixteen. I began working there full time at eighteen. I worked in maintenance - welding and repairing equipment or anything else that needed it. I bought a weightlifting bench and didn't like the quality, so I decided to make my own. A local gym saw it and bought it. Soon after a company out of Columbia, South Carolina hired me to build their fitness equipment. I decided to buy the business and bring it back to Laurens, South Carolina, where I opened a custom fitness building company in 1987. When I started, I was one of only three custom fitness equipment builders in the industry. Back then patenting items was not a big deal. My designs were used to create what is now industry standards. I made equipment for many professional and college teams. Miami Dolphins. Buffalo Bills. San Francisco 49ers. Clemson. Virginia Tech. University of Miami. We began powder coating in 1996, to increase the quality of our fitness equipment but could not compete against the companies who were cookie cutting out their jobs. We found a niche in industrial powder coating. I love to create and build things. I am proud to have just received my first patent for a truck accessory called the 4LOADER and will be officially launched at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this year. It can be used to haul ATV's and golf carts. It completely replaces the need for a utility trailer and can be used to extend the bed of a pickup truck while maintaining your ability to tow. The 4LOADER is safe, secure and easy to use.
