About Lee Polisano

Lee Polisano, President, and founder of PLP Architecture, is internationally recognised for his architecture and urban design work, which emphasise an underlying concern for sustainability and passion for innovation. He has been responsible for creating numerous award-winning buildings and he is widely regarded for pushing boundaries and bringing innovation to the sector. Lee’s designs have a focus on context, and he advocates civic responsibility and environmental responsiveness to create sensitive and accessible projects that are comfortable to inhabit and a joy to use. He has been responsible for such notable projects as Nova Victoria, a landmark development that completely rethinks the urban setting around London’s Victoria Station; Sky Central, a collaborative and award-winning headquarters for one of the world’s most dynamic media companies and; Heron Tower, the City of London’s first sustainable high-rise building that remains an icon to this day. Recent work includes Yandex’s new global headquarters in Moscow, which will house employees in an iconic, light filled new building; A a new campus masterplan for Krea University in Chennai, India and the arts-focussed mixed-use development; Bankside Yards, along the south bank of the Thames in London. He has designed a landmark development now finishing in Milan, that reconsiders an unloved derelict tower into a contemporary urban setting that will become the focus of the Corso Como district in the city. Lee is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Architektenkammer Berlin, and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), where he was elected in recognition of his notable contributions to the advancement of the profession of architecture. He is a frequent lecturer, advisor to both public and private institutions, serves as a Global Governing Trustee for the Urban Land Institute and is passionately involved with several charitable organisations.
