About Lee Saunders

I entered Christian school education in 1983 as a teacher at Broadway Baptist School in Houston, Texas. I earned a Master's degree in Christian education, served as a teacher and coach for 4 years at Broadway, and at Fort Bend Christian Academy in Sugar Land Texas. From there, I went to Clay Road Baptist School in Houston as Middle School and Assistant Principal. With an M.A. in Christian education, and 17 years of experience, for the past 13 years, I was given the privilege to serve as head administrator in two schools that were experiencing declining enrollments and financial hardships. It has been a real blessing to be involved in helping lead these schools back to financial security and stability, and to experience enrollment increases and expansion of the school ministry. I was able to lead both schools successfully through the accreditation process, which was the initial accreditation at my current school. In serving Christian schools, I have become involved with leading professional development for teachers, in developing new programs and strengthening course offerings, including dual credit high school/college courses, and participating in and supporting ACSI, along with serving in legislative advocacy at both the state and federal level.
