About Lee Slinger

With more than a decade of experience as a research administrator in the post-secondary sector, I pair a desire for collaborative and innovative research with an expertise in communication. As the manager of the Public History Lab at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, I support the research enterprise of Professor Timothy Snyder, director of the lab and Chair in Modern European History. In my previous roles at the University of Toronto and as the editor of a national arts magazine, I work with others to explore interdisciplinary ideas of social significance and to share those findings in effective and persuasive manners. As a writer and researcher, I am interested in how conceptions of the past and ownership of ideas affect social and cultural debates and change over time. As a communicator, I enjoy sharing ideas with others in ways that will make them share in my enthusiasm.
