About Lee Williames

With almost 30 years of broad based experience as a proven physician leader and Air Force officer I have improved healthcare systems from the operational to strategic levels. Whether teaching, leading teams in remote international settings, or overseeing large organizations as a seasoned Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), I am committed to developing industry leading capabilities, partnerships, organizations, and to the cultivation of future leaders. As the Command Surgeon at US Strategic Command, I oversee and advise on all aspects of health-related services, impacting global plans and operations and participate at the highest levels of the military health system. I have extensive knowledge and skills in strategic planning, policy, communication, and crisis and risk management. As a leader at multiple levels I have honed skills in complex problem solving, team building, quality assurance, process improvement, safety science, programming, budgeting, and staff investment and development. I have extensive experience in change management and leading through large scale multi-level reorganizations. In addition, I have built partnerships with Allied Nations and domestic interagency organizations to advance regional security and meet the nation's challenges in today's healthcare environment.
