About Leen Meyer

Leen Meyer is a trailblazer in insurance technology and the digital distribution of insurance products in Canada. As the Co-Founder and CEO of PolicyBook, a Diagram Ventures InsureTech—an investment arm of Power Corp alongside Sagard Ventures and Portage Ventures—he has made significant contributions to the industry. From 2018 to 2024, Leen served as the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and Principal Broker at HUB Customer Central (HCC) and was also the Canadian Non-Profit Practice Leader & National Programs Practice Leader at HUB International. He co-founded Belyer Insurance Limited, operating as EasyInsure, in 2005 and held the position of Principal Broker nationally for property and casualty (P&C), life, and health operations from 2010 to 2022. His expertise spans various insurance sectors, including life, health, surety, personal P&C, small, mid-market & complex commercial P&C, professional liability, warranty, and GAP insurance. In 2015, he and his business partner were recognized as finalists in the Ernst and Young, Young Entrepreneur of the Year (30 and Under) category, for their work with the Belyer group. On January 1, 2018, Belyer Insurance Limited, operating as EasyInsure, was acquired by Totten Insurance Group, a HUB International Company, the largest insurance brokerage in Canada and one of the largest in the World. Leen, along with his wife Evelina, founded the Leendert & Ewelina Meyer Family Trust which holds and manages their portfolio companies as well as their extensive commercial, medical & industrial real-estate portfolio. Leen is a Harvard trained Negotiator, holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Windsor and has completed Insurance Business Executive Programs at both the Ivey School of Business (Western University) and Schulich School of Business (York University). He earned his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 2010 and his Fellowship (FCIP) in 2017, both from the Insurance Institute of Canada.
