About Leena Rantonen

My work at Aste Kirjat & Aste Helsinki is customer orientated development. I use empathetic way to approach problem-solving and developing services. Methods that I use are often based on design thinking by considering business needs and customer values. Development work and research can be done with the multidisciplinary team. Collaborative planning and facilitation are also important at my work. I am currently studying a master´s degree of design and media competence at Lab University of applied sciences. My studies will be ready after my thesis is done. Content of my studies is design thinking & strategic design, service design, brand development, information design, lean thinking, and sustainable design. I am particularly interested in developing digital services. My studies have given me a vision for tools for developing mobile services and websites, all these are important at my current work. I have a long-term experience of concept-based industrial fashion design at my work history, so customer-oriented thinking is very familiar for me.
