About Leia Pearson
After graduating from my master’s degree, I obtained a position at Lendlease Construction on their graduate scheme to train as a Quantity Surveyor. I have built upon my degree to understand the fabrication of construction especially relating to fitting out apartments. My first scheme was the Manchester New Square Project, an £81million development handed over in March 2021. My main packages were prelims, fit-out and basement works. I then moved on to work for National Highways as part of their Major Projects department working on various schemes across the North West, ranging for £80 to £250million. I now work for VINCI Facilities on their Department for Education contract, for their Schools Portfolio, leading the day to day commercial function, from procurement, to variations to applications for payment. I have experience of both the NEC3 and NEC4 contracts as well as, working on Government Framework contracts. I am also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
