About Leighton Eddy

As a fourth-year student at The Pennsylvania State University, I am pursuing a degree in Architectural Engineering with a focus on the Mechanical discipline. Growing up in the Chicagoland area, I developed a passion for architecture and the built environment, which I’ve combined with a strong aptitude for mathematics and design. During my internship at SmithGroup, an integrated architecture and engineering firm, I had the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on multidisciplinary projects. I contributed to the design and analysis of mechanical systems for various building types, enhancing my technical skills and gaining hands-on experience in real-world applications. This experience deepened my understanding of sustainable building practices and further fueled my passion for energy-efficient design. I am driven to push my career with sustainability at the forefront, where I can contribute to innovative building solutions. I am committed to continuing my professional growth, constantly learning and evolving to stay at the forefront of the industry throughout my career.
