About Leilani Barkan

I am a seasoned interior designer with over two decades of experience in the healthcare design industry. My mission is to create healing environments that support the patients, their families, and caregivers who use the spaces daily. I have a BA in Interior Design from Kent State University and multiple publications in leading healthcare design magazines. As an integral part of the Healthcare Studio at the Cleveland Clinic, I define and implement the clinic's design standards across its facilities. I coordinate with various stakeholders, manage and document finish and furniture standards, lead product research and evaluation, and assist with recapitalization of common, inpatient, and outpatient spaces. I am passionate about delivering design excellence that aligns with the clinic's vision and values.
