About Leland Shepherd

Leland Shepherd has global experience at large Fortune 500 companies and small family-owned businesses, and incorporates his entrepreneurial passion in all organizations. During the last decade, he successfully launched, grew, and/or advised several businesses in a variety of industries. His true passion is operations: especially problem solving, organizing, streamlining, and automating. With more than 15 years’ experience in the Business Process Outsourcing industry especially servicing Fortune 500 companies. He has experience both as the "vendor" and the "client." While as COO and CEO at Mandata, he improved sales revenue considerably and administered several operational cost savings programs. Most of these solutions focused on clear, accurate and timely metrics. He was responsible for client marketing, sales, acquisition, and support; moreover training offshore teams in a variety of projects and business best practices. It is as a CEO that his entrepreneurial passion arose. He has an extensive background in a variety of positions within the title insurance industry and real estate data industry. Experience includes all levels of title operations, data collection, data transformations, data analytics, quality control, and product development both internal to the organization and external to the client/consumer. Leland earned his MBA in 2007 from UCLA Anderson School of Management. He also completed his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
