About Leli Nurohmah

Worked as senior program officer for 5 years at SFCG Indonesia focused on project of women in parliament and Promoting International Religious Freedom and Understanding in Indonesian Pesantrens. I have been working for gender issues in Indonesia over the last 15 years as researcher, resource person, facilitators, and technical assistance for local groups. As program officer, my skills on program development including planning, implementation and monitoring evaluation are strong, which reflect to my leadership in managing 3 years project on Women Empowerment in Moslem Context (WEMC) at RAHIMA Foundation. Almost 2 years as Coordinator on Education and Training Division at RAHIMA Foundation. My background on Islamic studies has strengthened my analytical thinking in looking at the problem of women in Indonesia using the perspective of progressive Islam, which ease me to work in Muslim communities. I earned my master degree on Gender studies of University of Indonesia, which given me strong skills of research and feminist perspective that provide clear analysis on my planning and reporting.
