Media Entrepreneur, Executive Producer - A media industry veteran and successful entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience, Len is a pioneer in the urban media space. Len’s expertise in advertising sales and his marketing leadership has enabled him to successfully launch 7 major magazines with exceptional advertising growth; including being part of the launch team of Vibe Magazine in 1993. He is a member of various organizations and a graduate of Florida A&M University School of Business and Industry. In he co-founded the urban publishing company Vanguarde Media, where he was Group Publisher of Honey, Heart & Soul, Impact and Savoy. Currently, Burnett serves as Co-Founder and Group Publisher of Uptown Media Ventures. Burnett has recently penned his first book “Black is the New Green-Marketing to Affluent African Americans”. The book offers astute insight into one very powerful demographic shift that is driving the trend toward niche marketing – and provides compelling and cost-effective strategies for reaching this emerging new affluent niche. Recently, Len became a partner as Head of Media Original Development at Hero Collective. HERO Collective is a Black owned digital-first creative, media agency and venture lab that turns brands into Heroes. We’re a digital, events and content platform that creates community through content and commerce. With a focus on taking back ownership of our content and narrative, our innovation studio builds brands and businesses through purpose. Len is also Co-Founder of HOMESTEAD ENTERTAINMENT a distribution and production created to provide alternative solutions for independent filmmakers. Also partner of Roam Pictures Group; an emerging independent production company founded by creative entrepreneurs with over 20 years combined experience in entertainment. The team specializes both in creating culture and understanding the internal cravings of their audience which has led to a long track record of success. ROAM Pictures identifies and produces entertainment that displays people of color to the fullest extent of their humanity.
