Efficiency Paired with a Dose of Realism A keen eye for quality and a critical perspective have always been my guiding professional principles. My journey into one of Belgium's most unique labs (IBE-BVI) has been anything but conventional. After my studies environmental en prevention management I started working for Tauw. Here I developed a deep appreciation for laboratory work under ISO 17025 standards, to later venture into the uncharted territory of packaging. It's been over seven years now, and I've found my stride in this field. As a head of department, I lead a team of 4 (hopefully 5 in the near future) dedicated individuals. Current Role and Responsibilities In my current capacity as a head of department, I oversee a team of 4 exceptional professionals. Our work revolves around efficiency, precision, and quality. Together, we ensure that packaging materials are tested according to applicable standards, a crucial aspect of ensuring product safety and quality. Our testing process is the result of an analysis discussion with our customers, and helps the process for the final validation of the packaging. Future Goals Looking ahead, I envision myself growing into a leadership role within this industry, continuously inspiring my team and upholding the highest standards. Simultaneously, I intend to further develop my personal passion for pragmatism and simplicity, finding a harmonious balance with my professional life. Simple pleasures like savoring a good meal and staying active are my keys to equilibrium. Emphasizing Soft Skills For me, teamwork is the linchpin of success. It's a well-functioning unit where each member is empowered to work autonomously, facilitating our efficiency. My ability to make quick decisions and act decisively, even in the face of ever-evolving schedules, enables us to consistently deliver top-notch service to our clients.
