In my career, I have undertaken various leadership roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, nurse lead, and resource nurse. My approximately 10 years in these positions have allowed me to hone my skills in guiding teams, mentoring new nurses, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. I am passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and turning patients’ challenging times into triumphs. My role in the CVICU involves monitoring and managing post-cardiovascular surgeries, administering medications, and utilizing advanced medical equipment for cardiac monitoring. I excel in critical thinking and emergency response, promptly addressing medical emergencies with life-saving interventions. Additionally, I educate patients and families about postoperative care, medication management, and necessary lifestyle adjustments for recovery. Meticulous documentation and compliance ensure that all care provided is accurately recorded. I am committed to leveraging the Magnet® Model for nursing excellence.
