About Lena Schneider

Full-stack developer with a backend focus. Generalist. Critical thinker. Great at communicating complex topics. 1.5 years ago, I decided to put myself to the test by switching into a software developer career, detouring from a previous path in communications, marketing and philosophy. After starting out with a web development bootcamp at the renowned Le Wagon, I gathered hands-on experience as a backend developer trainee at the tech consultancy Futurice. I quickly onboarded to a complex and innovative project to create a data management tool. On the project, I contributed to Python lambdas within an AWS infrastructure, e.g. to integrate data from an external API. I gained valuable experience in deployment, unit testing, best practices, agile project management and tech consulting. My most valuable assets as a developer are my analytical and critical thinking skills combined with my expertise for clear, effective communication – both within a tech team as well as with non-tech stakeholders. I consider myself a generalist, gathering knowledge about varied topics, interconnecting them and seeing the big picture. I am still thoroughly enjoying continuously learning more about development, dev ops, computer science, and tech project management.
