About Lenora Gudger

Hello there! My name is Lenora! I've been in the Hospitality Industry for over 20 years! In 2003 I moved to a new city where I started working at a hotel as a part-time banquet server. I thought it was a fun little "gig", and I would eventually get back into Insurance. As it happened, I fell in love with hotels, events, and everything they provided to guests. I loved the fact that I could assist with life's events and help create memories. I was working a wedding reception and I remember ensuring a very nervous Father of the Bride that whatever needed to be taken care of would be taken care of by the staff. I told him that his only job was to enjoy himself at his daughter's wedding. At the end of the night the man thanked me. He said that if it weren't for that brief conversation, he would have sat in his chair worrying the entire night and would have regretted it forever. I felt honored. A life-long lasting memory, priceless! I ended up growing with my first hotel management company. I moved across the country and worked many positions from part-time banquet server to purchaser, and everything in between. Learning the ropes and transitions that take place during renovations. I created systems and training programs for employees. I was able to learn and understand what it takes for a group of people to be successful. Every single time I have found that the main ingredient is good morale. I have a complete understanding that each individual event is just as important as the next. A celebration for one individual person is just as important as an event with people. I've assisted with private life events such as home births, as well as major public events. The size of the event should not determine the quality of care in the planning and service. Notable public events I have assisted with: Superbowl Hip Hop Music Awards, International Tattoo Festival, Comic Con, Gasparilla International Film Festival, and many more-That's enough about me, tell me about YOU!
