About Lenore Tedesco

Not-for-Profit Executive, non-profit researcher and former academic researcher, environmental scientist and water resources expert, graduate and undergraduate student mentor. I recently relocated to the northeast and am excited to be back in coastal and wetland ecosystems. I have reconnected with my earlier research interests in estuaries, sea level rise, coastal stability and impacts from hurricanes and other large storms. I started working on ecological beach restoration projects following Hurricane Sandy and have now focused my efforts on coastal and ecosystem resiliency projects. I am the co-founder of the Seven Mile Island Innovation Laboratory with the US Army Corp of Engineers and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Division of Fish and Wildlife. These projects are beneficially using dredged sediments to create resiliency for ecosystems and communities. My goals are to continue to extend my work to focus on wetland and coastal ecosystem issues while continuing to partner with non-profits, higher education, and government agencies on issues related to the environment, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
