About Leo Smith

I am a multifaceted creative professional with 4 years of experience in leadership, teaching, and project management. I’ve held a range of positions – and gained many transferable skills – but I am truly a teacher at my core. My mom can tell you. Picture a smaller me, age 4 in the living room, leading a hearty class of dolls and stuffed animals.(They had such great energy.) I am deeply grateful for all of my work experiences, and the professional and personal growth they’ve brought. From Editorial Intern to Writing Tutor to Administrative Assistant, I have- Grown in my identity as a leader and confident communicator- Become project-oriented. Through trial and error, I’ve learned how to successfully create, adapt, and teach workflows- Learned how to apply my creativity to the workplace, approaching complex problems with creative and balanced solutions- Developed the tenacity and grit required to not only face challenges, but to seek them out and embrace them. Staying true to my passions and seeking new challenges, I launched my creative writing business, Starpower Creative, to help poets and writers strengthen and connect with their authentic voices.
