Pacesetter's Engineering Team strives to support our customers and our operations team with value-added technical services. We provide daily drilling performance tracking in the form of Pacesetter Performance Reports that compares the progress on all current wells to relevant offsets. Using offset analysis based on data gathered in PRIME, we can provide accurate recommendations on drill string design, drill bit selection and motor selection. Post well analysis is performed using a suite of in-house-developed engineering tools. Typical areas of investigation include vibration analysis, time distribution, torque and drag / friction factor calibration, connection time analysis, and long term performance analysis. Torque and Drag Analysis is used to create efficient directional plans and drill string designs by highlighting potential drilling problems like high drag, drill pipe buckling, and poor weight transfer. PRIME (Pacesetter Reporting and Information Management Engine) is a proprietary online database tool that allows uniquely effective data collection, reporting and analysis. The engineering team is tasked with maintaining the codebase and implementing new functionality.
