About Leo Williames

As an experienced teacher, I'm still enjoying learning and developing my skills, particularly in the areas of leadership, arts and wellbeing. I currently am a classroom teacher and a head of faculty. I gain a lot of fulfilment out of working alongside students to develop them holistically, and leading a team in a collaborative manner to complete our shared goals. I enjoy developing and trialing new ideas, knowing that sometimes forward progress requires risks and even failure to learn and rethink processes. I enjoy learning from other teachers and programs, and looking to the key themes of purpose and people. In my years in education, I have enjoyed putting my hand up for a range of experiences and programs, including directing and choreographing school musicals, developing a Middle School News program lead by the captains, developing camp and excursion programs, developing sustainability or environmental programs like a Year 5 garden, completing the National Geographic Educators course and participating in a variety of personal development opportunities on a variety of subjects. I currently hope to continue developing my leadership experience and skills, and learning from leaders I look up to. I have a particular passion in leading leaders, understanding their passions and aims and working with them to develop their particular gifts and skills.
