Background
About Leon Leu
As a neutron imaging instrument scientist I operate 2 (cold and thermal) neutron imaging beamlines at the Reactor Institute in Delft. In this position I develop the beamlines further and I am supporting users in performing experiments and subsequent data analysis. I have research experience in fossil fuels and carbon capture and storage at Stanford University, Imperial College London and Shell, working in multidisciplinary teams cross-linking industry and academia. In my experimental work I characterize heterogeneous pore structures and the fluid interactions that are critical for hydrocarbon recovery and CO2 storage, using X-ray scattering and imaging methods.
