I have over 20 years of experience in the Airline and Travel industry, dealing with- financial accounting- balance sheet reconciliation - system implementation of new products and applications- defining business process documentation and user requirements for new business/system initiatives- System testing and involvement on problem solving for bug fixing and enhancements- ensuring end to end process completion; from sales reporting to financial accounting and reconciliation Some of my key achievements are listed below- Implementation of the Kelyah project, ie: a middle layer finance system, involving integration and accounting of 10+ front office systems reporting and accounting- Streamlining the dnata credit card reconciliation, thereby ensuring accurate sales reportings, identification of revenue leakage caused by incorrect reporting from front end business or non -payment of dues from acquiring banks- Key involvement is setting up of South African Airways revenue accounting processes and bringing the processes on-line- Identified and plugged recurring revenue leakages amounting to AED150k annually (ie: AED20k from interline billings and AED135k from CPG non-payment by acquiring bank)- Key involvement in implementation of below front end systems like ACE (ie: reporting system used by dnata for travel sales reportings) and CABS (ie: reporting system used by Airport Ground Handling services for reporting of services rendered)
