About Leon Thomas

Leon Thomas, Jr. was born in and called to the ministry at Grand Rapids, Michigan. I was introduced to Jesus at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church by my parents from birth. I confessed my call to the ministry on March 27, 1972 and preached my first sermon on the first Sunday, May, 1972 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. J.L. Hudson. Continuing to grow in the Lord, I was led me to Bethel Pentecostal Church, Grand Rapids, Michigan under Bishop William C. Abney. On August 2, 1992, I was ordained by the Wayside Apostolic Church of Deliverance, Bishop Frank Allen, Vicksburg, MS, officiating. Ministry Fellowships: The Anointed Christian Center Ministries is a member in Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches, serving as Northern California Regional Director. Organization Accountability and Affiliation: General Ministry Information: Elder Thomas began pastoring in 1994 in Marin and Solano counties, California. After 16 years on the West Coast of United States, and elevation to Regional Overseer, the Lord has commanded him to ‘cast his net on the other side’, establishing a ministry in August 2010 at Woodbridge, VA, launching The Anointed Christian Center on March 20, 2011. Elder Thomas has ministered throughout the United States and Great Britain, conducting gospel music workshops and revivals. He is known as an anointed song writer, singer, preacher, teacher and aggressive soul-reacher for the Kingdom; has written columns for many newspapers, publishes the Destroying The Yoke Newsletter and is owner of Current Ministry Undertakings: Elder Thomas is pursuing a doctoral degree in Apostolic Theology from Biblical Apostolic University, Lancaster, TX; currently writing two books; and developing an international business called “TempleGear©”.
