Leonard A. Farber, MD is an executive in healthcare with extensive experience in the development and growth of centers and departments within the oncology sector with an ability to recognize emerging technologies and position them for success amongst complex markets in the academic and private practice environments. He has expertise in strategizing and enhancing organizational relationships, growing hospital departments, launching startups, and brining new and innovative technologies into clinical practice. Dr. Farber has worked with EHMET Health as their Chief Medical Officer and Executive VP of Clinical Research. He is the Senior Clinical Advisor for PreludeDx. Dr. Farber is involved with multiple financial companies assessing medical and life science products. He has been on the board of directors for healthcare companies. Dr. Farber serves as Senior Medical Director and Section Chief of Radiation Oncology for Care to Care. He has worked as the Senior Medical Director of Anatom-e information system. Dr. Farber is a Scientific Advisory Board member of Genomic Health, Adgero Biopharmaceuticals, and the Global Pain Foundation/National Pain Foundation. He has served as Chief Medical Officer for Woodmont Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Farber is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist and has been medical and clinical director of radiation oncology facilities in NY. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he served as chief resident. Prior to that he completed his internship at Beth Israel Medical center having graduated medical school from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He was the clinical director of Radiation Oncology at Long Island Radiation Therapy/Nassau Radiologic Group in NY, and Chairman of the Dept. of Radiation Oncology at Staten Island University Hospital. He is the founder and Clinical Director of The Farber Center for Radiation Oncology in NY, ultimately restructured and rebranded as NY-Presbyterian Hospital/ Lower Manhattan Cancer Center, where he remained as Clinical Director of Radiation Oncology. He has worked as Professor of Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, along with City of Hope, and UCLA.
