It's time for some FRESH A.I.R! Our youth can't succeed because they are suffocating! The three character traits and 5 tenets covered in my speech change their perceptions and guide them away from the smog of bullying, peer pressure, and suicide. As Academic Support Coordinator at North Idaho College, I hire, train, supervise, and evaluate peer tutors. I develop supplemental instruction curriculum that aligns with College Reading and Learning Associate (CRLA) certification requirements to ensure the success of students, In addition to my career as a freelance writer, I am also a classroom management trainer who is passionate about creating a safe learning environment for all students. Whether teaching in a secondary school Freshman in Training (F.I.T.) at-risk program, at a therapeutic boarding school for teens with addiction and behavioral problems, or at the community college level with non-traditional students who have struggled academically, I believe that true learning only occurs when the students have a safe, positive relationship with their teachers. When I am not writing, training educators, or speaking to youth across the nation, I enjoy camping, fishing, and hiking with my family in Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier National Parks.
