Retired after Forty years of Commercial Nuclear Power Engineering experience, with over twenty years in a leadership position, involving Design, Systems, Programs, new construction, startup testing, project management, and operation / maintenance support. This includes extensive experience in plant design, industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, modifications, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, testing practices, work management, performance monitoring, and equipment reliability. Responsibilities included Station Duty Manager, Shift Outage Manager, and chairing the Engineering Training Curriculum Review Committee. Presently, the Engineering Director and Corporate Functional Area Manager for Governance and Oversight of three Nuclear Generating Plants. Eighteen months experience as a Maintenance Manager for both Electrical and I&C (Instrument and Control) equipment for a nuclear generating station. This included switchgear (4KV and below), motor control centers, motors, air and motor operated valves, pneumatic controls, analog and digital electronics, radiation monitors, field sensing devices, and plant computer systems. Also, involved in leadership with several industry initiatives and/or committees including Engineering Core Peer Team Lead of 16 Utilities Service Alliance (USA) nuclear plants, Electronic Power Research Institute (EPRI) Action Plan Committee (APC) member for both Equipment Reliability and PWR Material Management Program, Chairman of the Executive Oversight Committee for the Equipment Reliability Working Group (ERWG), member of the steering committee for the Nuclear Industry Advanced Engineering Training Initiative, and member of the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering Advisory Council.
