About Leone Cesca

Since 2008 I worked on Hewlett Packard Enterprise (former Hewlett Packard) at software development labs. Participated of qualification of 9 products, testing and leading testing teams. These teams were geographically distributed (Brazil, USA, India, China) and, sometimes they included contractors. On February 2015, I moved to Ireland, joining HPE PointNext RnD organization helping delivering high value and qualified software. Since then I had developed tests using FitNesse testing framework with Java for MapR and HortonWorks based products. During 2 months, I helped executing, analyzing and reporting performance tests results. On September 2017 I started as Product Manager, managing the backlog and priorities of 5 teams with around 40 people. We’ve been driving the implementation of a Continuous Delivery Pipeline for more than 20 applications, enabling moving to code to production on a fast pace with high level of automation. In October 2020, I decided to move to a Product Owner position on the same team, getting closer to engineers and technical aspects of products. Before moving to Ireland, I executed activities like scope planning, progress tracking, reporting to management team and stakeholders, created and implemented test strategy. As main achievements, our team delivered 100% of test scope (Backup and Restore and High Availability for Solution Testing of three products), 100% of regression testing using UFT (formerly QTP). As tester, I created and executed manual testing, created and manage execution of automated testing, logged and managed defects found by me, estimated testing efforts, managed different environment configurations, documented feature details, reviewed developers design and performed presentations of test plans.
