About Leonie Ade

After graduating from secondary school in 2013, I entered the working world at a young age. At the fresh age of 17, I started my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Daimler AG in the headquarters in Untertürkheim, Stuttgart. In the 2.5 years I gained practical experience and insights into several departments and worked in the areas of performance management, purchasing, sales, controlling and HR. In addition, I also gained insight about my own strengths and weaknesses and gained important communication skills. Fortunately, I then gained a position as a specialist in the human resources organization department supporting the Daimler Trucks Europe and Latin America division. During my time there, I collaborated with HR representatives all over the world, evaluated management positions, created presentations for the works council and for management approvals, assisted in the development of new structures, and implemented efficiency programs. During this time, I successfully balanced my work duties while pursing my education in the evening. After working at AG Daimler for 6 years, I left to begin my studies at Pforzheim University in the fall. I also had the opportunity to complete an internship in a new industry at KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft from August 2021 to December 2021. Through this experience, I was responsible for internal as well as external communication, planned events and conducted internal evaluations. I am now in the United States of America pursing a Bachelor degree at the University of Wyoming and fulfilling my dream of living abroad for a whole year. Here, I hope to further develop my English skills, to get to know a new culture but above all to grow personally. Through all of these opportunities, I have developed myself professional and personally; and I look forward to doing so in my next opportunity.
