So why Léroy, what makes Léroy different? I am an open, trustworthy, honest, likeable Aries male. If you asked me what my opinion on a topic was, quite often it would not be what you wanted to hear, but what you needed to hear and it would give you a new perspective.I have ethical business acumen, target driven, working well on my own as well as a valued member of a team. My past Sale/Marketing experience, mostly in distribution, have all required high relationship management and problem solving skills, utilized in the board room dealing with CEO’s; CIO's and back office staff, to retain and grow the business into new areas. At SDD I successfully ran the Cape Town Software division, handling 13 Software Vendors and over 500 Business Partners before the collapse of Siltek Group in 2001. Moving to First Distribution I grew the Western Cape’s IBM market share from 5% in 2002 to over 75% by 2006. Other achievements were the Software Distributor of the Year; selling the most IBM Informix licensers in Africa; attending IBM Partner World in Las Vegas, being invited to attend the IBM Channel Distribution & Licensing events in Lisbon Portugal and Dublin Ireland. Later I joined Paltrack servicing the fruit industry in the Northern & Western Cape, visiting farmers, Pack houses, Cold Stores & Exporters, selling pallet tracking software to maintain the integrity and traceability in the cold chain. My good relationship management skills once again allowed me to grow the business in my areas and become the Top National Account manager and closing a record setting R1.45 million cash deal. I'm an avid Scuba Diver who seeks the peace and tranquility of the Aquatic Kingdom & have a passion for old school VW Air cooled cars and am currently building a highly modified Beetle. My favorite authors are S Donaldson; T Pratchet; R Jordan and Z Sitchin to name a few. I have a strong belief in the words of Master Jedi Yoda, “Do, or Do Not! There is No Try!”
