Vigilant and diligent safety professional. Currently working in construction. Drawing experience from Branch, Operations, Project and Sales Management, in industries including civil construction, commercial and industrial buildings, industrial services, waste management, hazardous waste, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, and transport. Experienced in completing auditing against internal safety systems, and being audited against OFSC, PQC and ISO Audit criteria. Using QLD WHS Regulation, Safe Work Australia and State Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and internal policy and procedure to provide advice and guidance to project teams to comply with high-risk construction tasks and principal contractor responsibilities. Proactive approach to utilising safety systems to monitor and review all activities on site providing coaching and guidance to site team and subcontractors alike. Daily activities include inducting plant and people, reviewing SWMS for relevance to site and scope, planning safety aspects of upcoming works and providing practice feedback on safety systems, policy and procedure. Contributing to or conducting an incident investigation, helping with RTW obligations. Maintaining currency with Regulation, Code of Practice and internal documents. Previously contributed to pilot programs for business systems implementation, add on’s to the business systems including Microsoft Navision-based programs, MYOSH safety management software, Lucidity safety software, and waste truck implemented hardware and software. I find It easy to adjust from one scenario to the next having to speak to multiple industries with multiple problems, multiple times per day.Providing practical solutions by listening, asking questions, and methodically working through scenarios with all decision makers to get the problem solved initially then providing the long-term solutions for a permanent solution.Working in these capacities I have always had a focus on safety and the environment, I have guided and led teams to achieve the highest possible standard for clients often trumping much bigger competitors, I believe this success can be attributed mostly to communication and a defined set of instructions to staff derived from listening to the desired outcomes from the clients. I work well with people from all backgrounds all occupations.
