About Lesha Patel

I am a Senior Visual Designer/String Artist/Cake Decorator that likes to make things on and off the internet, while producing digital experiences through attentive strategy and execution. Along with creating visual concepts to communicate ideas; I have learned elements of research, testing, business analysis, project management, and psychology to make systems, interfaces, and graphics more user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and usable. The most fascinating part is, I have learned to establish the "why" behind my design.My most recent experience has been freelancing at Vim & Co. as a UX/UI Visual Designer, where I have learned to challenge myself as a designer and person. While working with Vim & Co. I was given the privilege to work with a non-profit organization called I Thirst International that is working to provide clean water in developing nations, empowering women through small business education and micro-enterprise, and preventing exploitation through community development. Some of my most rewarding life transformations have happened because I was challenged by a story or an idea that activated my soul. Because of this, I’m deeply motivated to create systems where stories and ideas have the power to inclusively exchange, thoughtfully collide, intelligently build, and meaningfully reinvent people for the better. Even when the results are far from my ideal expectations, I find the whole ceremony of creativity completely captivating.Decorating cakes, traveling the world and working for a great cause, are just a few of my favorite things to do. Nothing brings me more joy than creating an impact on other lives. As I move forward in my career, I want to continue to make a difference in the world through my talent.
