A range of roles with the overriding themes of delivering excellent customer service and providing effective people management and administration for medium to large organisations. An Information professional with 17 years’ experience in public libraries and prior to this a successful career as a teacher-librarian in secondary schools. Extensive recruitment experience, program development and delivery and associated promotional and marketing activities. Lead the introduction of cultural change programs that gave staff time and motivation to think about how they relate to each other and to the community, and it helped break down the silos that had operated previously. It is a joy to work with people, seeing them grow in skills and confidence, and seeing them build better relationships with each other and the community. Recruiting the right staff to be a part in this is very satisfying. To support this growth it has been essential to develop policy and procedures that gives them a structure to enable them to perform their roles with knowledge and confidence. Passionate about working in organisations that make a genuine difference in people’s lives.
