About Lesley MacMaster

Lesley MacMaster has over thirty years of experience in nursing practice, dedicating the second half of her career to the education of undergraduate nursing students. Lesley has expertise teaching in a multitude of settings, including classroom, clinical, laboratory, simulation and more recently, virtual settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario and a Master of Science (Nursing), from the University of Toronto, Ontario. Lesley’s passion for education began in the late 1990s, sharing her knowledge and expertise with nurses through her roles as clinical nurse educator and professional practice leader; Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario. As a member of the nursing faculty at Georgian College, Barrie, Ontario, Lesley is committed to the essentiality of nursing theoretical perspectives to the unique discipline of nursing and equally, to exploring new and effective ways of teaching and preparing students for entry to practice within the complex systems defining health care delivery.
