Background

About Lesley McCarthy

Diligent Customer Service and Sales Specialist, with experience organizing large community events in both small teams and independently. I primarily specialize in customer service, technical communication, outreach, data analysis, operations coordination and sales. After graduating from SUNY New Paltz in December of 2021, I found a deep love for plants and an ever-growing dedication to aiding in Climate Change resolution and adaptation. I had always had a passion for our environmental preservation, which was seen throughout my academic career. As time has passed, I have found that organizing events that are actively anti-capitalistic and pro-sustainability and resilience is where I feel most useful. The Kingston Repair Cafe does just that, which I have the honor to help coordinate with my co-facilitator. My day job at Hudson Valley Seed Company allows me to learn about agriculture and the complexities of adapting to climate change and fighting for a truly green world. Teaching others about growing vegetables, flowers, and even trees, I am constantly stretching my understanding of our natural world. This position has given me such incredible knowledge on organizing sales campaigns, technical communication and an ever growing respect for farmers and Mother Nature.
