About Leslie Austin

Dr. Leslie Austin is an executive mentor and advisor and founder of Austin Consulting. She has more than 30 years of experience helping successful senior executives and leaders create a positive change in behavior patterns for themselves and for their colleagues and teams. These positive behavior changes result in significantly improved performance and effectiveness at work, at leisure, and at home. Her work with high-powered leaders has earned her the moniker, “The Lion-Tamer.” Leslie works with teams and individuals across all industries, including finance, publishing, manufacturing, fashion, public relations and pharmaceuticals. She is Board Approved in Executive Coaching and Behavior Modification by the Society for the Advancement of Consulting and has been elected to the Mentor Hall of Fame. Leslie holds a Doctorate in Performance Studies from NYU. She completed a four-year clinical fellowship at the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy in New York, supervising and training psychotherapists. She is also trained in Core Energetics (characterological types and structures), Jungian Analytic Psychology, Family and Systems therapy, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Human Design, and is a certified Neuroptimal neurofeedback advanced practitioner. Leslie is often quoted as an expert on issues concerning corporate America, psychology and behavior, crimes and trials and has made many appearances in national and international media on live television, radio, print and podcasts. Leslie has taught courses in Leadership, Management and Coaching in the School of Professional Studies at New York University. She was an Assistant Professor at Adelphi University and the New York Institute of Technology, and has taught baccalaureate and master’s courses at Brooklyn College, Marymount College and New York University.
